Abstract

PURPOSE:To form fine image with dielectric toner by disposing a generating means for magnetism and a member for forming electric field adjacent to a surface of recording body and by treating primary image through applying an AC electric field into the primary image by development. CONSTITUTION:Through relative rotation of a non-magnetic cylindrical sleeve 2 and a roll 2 of magnet, magnetic toner 4 is conveyed in the direction of arrow X and forms primary image 5 on a surface of a photosensitive layer 1b as it contacts with a surface of a photosensitive layer 1a. Adjacent to one of the surfaces of the layer 1b on which the primary image 5 is formed, a non-magnetic cylindrical sleeve 6 in which a magnetic roll 7 is built in is disposed and is connected with an AC power source 8. With said constitution, a toner image 6 treated through the AC electric field is, upon the resolution, improved considerably in comparison with the primary image 5, and this effect is made remarkable especially when a dielectric magnetic toner is used.
