Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide a photorecording medium which has a high recording sensitivity and efficiency, by a method wherein a minute powder, whose mean particle size is 50nm or less, of an alloy including at least 1 kind of metals, such as In, Sn, Ga, etc., is dispersed into a binder to compose the photorecording medium. CONSTITUTION:A minute powder, whose mean particle size is 50nm or less, of an alloy including at least 1 kind of In, Sn, Ga, Bi, Pd, and Hg, having preferably a melting point below 250 deg.C, is dispersed in a binder, such as thermoplastic resin. The binder shows a comparatively low viscosity at a heating temperature generated when the metal minute powder is irradiated with recording light, and is preferably a comparatively low melting point or glass transition point. A ratio of the binder to the metal powder is about 1:99-30:70 in a weight ratio. The dispersion is applied on a substrate to from a recording layer. In the photorecording medium so obtained, a reflection rate becomes almost a zero at a nonirradiation part, and becomes high due to a metal luster at an irradiation part. This obtains a recording point having a high contrast ratio.
