Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a photoreceptor having a protective layer superior in strength, stability, etc., by coating a photoconductive layer on a film cntaining a fine metal oxide powder dispersed into the film resin, and bonding or coating a conductive substrate to or on the photoconductive layer side. CONSTITUTION:A metal oxide, such as zinc oxide, titanium oxide, tin oxide, indium oxide, or bismuth oxide having <=0.3 micrometer average particle diameter is dispersed into a resin, such as polyester, polycarbonate or the like to prepare a film 1 having proper resistance value and transparency. An inorganic photoconductor, such as ZnO, CdS, etc., or an organic photoconductor, such as phthalocyanine pigment and diazo pigment, or the like is dispersed into an organic binder, and this binder is coated on the film 1 to form a photoconductive layer 2. Moreover, a conductive substrate 4 such as aluminum or the like is bonded with the layer 2 by the medium of an adhesive layer 3 or coated on the layer 2, thus the desired electrophotographic receptor is obtained.
