Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a clear recorded material having a large change in reflectivity between the interior of a pit and the exterior of the pit and having a high contrast ratio, by incorporating selfoxidizable compound, a light-absorptive coloring matter and a metallic powder into a recording layer. CONSTITUTION:A fine powder of a metal such as Ni, Au, Ag and Al having an average particle size of 5-200nm is used. A light-absorptive dyestuff or a light- absorptive pigment exhibiting a high absorptivity for recording light and enabling a rise in temperature is incorporated also. As the most efficient one of such coloring matter, carbon black having an average particle size of 1-300nm is used. Further, a nitric ester or a nitro compound, particularly nitrocellulose is added as the self- oxidizable compound. The nitrocellulose acts as a binder of the fine metallic powder and the dyestuff or pigment and also as the autoxidizabel compound, which is oxidized, burned and evaporated to obtain a recorded material of high contrast.
