Abstract

PURPOSE: To save the labor and cost for treating muddy water, by using a portable separation device to treat muddy water produced at the construction works easily.
CONSTITUTION: Muddy water to be fed into an agitating pipe 11 flows after being agitated at 9 together with sedimentation accelerators fed from a feed pipe 10 into a presettling chamber 3 through a muddy water teating chamber 7. After sedimentary mud in said chamber 3 is discharged by a converyor 16, the remaining muddy water flows into a main settling chamber 25. The sedimentary mud separated by inclined separating plates 4 in this chamber 25 is discharged by a converyor 34; and the final remaining water is filtrated by a filter 38 and rises through penetrating pipes 39 to the upper surface of filter covers 40, 40' to be exhausted through an exhausting pipe.
