Abstract
PURPOSE:To secure a heat source required for high-speed and large-size fixation and to shorten its warm-up time, by controlling the quantity of high frequency oscillation according to the high-frequency loss of a heating body by providing the 1st detecting means. CONSTITUTION:A high-frequency oscillation device 4 is operated by continuous oscillation or pulse pulse oscillation and irradiation power is monitored by a power meter 8 installed in a waveguide 7 provided between the high-frequency oscillation device 4 and a heating furnace 3. The power meter 8 measures electric energy passing in the waveguide 7, and the output signal of the power meter 8 is supplied to a control circuit 9 connected to the oscillation device 4 to stabilize the oscillation output. A lens 11 which condenses reflected light corresponding to the quantity of development is provided over a paper carriage device 10 and an optical converting element 12 is provided at the focal point of the lens to generate electromotive force which corresponds to the quantity of light. Consequently, the warm-up time is shortened.
