Abstract

PURPOSE:To control the shift of a laser oscillation wavelength on the basis of the variation in the environmental temperature of the semiconductor lser and the light amount produced thereby by arranging an optical filter before the photodetector. CONSTITUTION:The semiconductor laser element 11 is mounted on a copper heat sink 12. The electrodes of the element 11 are bonded to the metallic electrodes 13, 14 insulated from the heat sink 12. The backwardly irradiated beam 11b from the element 11 is incident through a filter 16 to the photodetector 15. The spectral transmission factor of the filter 16 is designed to meet the spectral sensitivity of the recorder for recording by irradiating the forwardly irradiating beam 11a of the element 11.
