Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain noise-free laser output by converting the output light from a semiconductor laser element into an electric signal, and modulating said laser element through a negative feedback circuit. CONSTITUTION:The exit light 4 of a semiconductor laser 1 is converted to an electric signal by a photodetector 14, and inputs via a high-pass filter 16 and an amplifier 16 to an adder 17, by which it is added with the output of a power source 2 to operate the laser 1. Thereby, noise of the exit rays 3, 4 of the laser 1 are reduced.
