Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a thermal head not susceptible to the influence of defects of glaze, excellent in the printing quality and having a long life, by displacing the pitch of lower thick film condutors by 1/2 with respect to that of upper thin film conductors so that heating resistors are not positioned just above the thick film conductors. CONSTITUTION:The thick film conductors 28 are formed on an aluminium base 26, and connected to a common conductors 25, an the tick film conductors 28 is formed a glaze layer 27, and on the glaze layer 27 are formed the thin film conductors 30 that in turn are connected to the common conductor 25. The thin film conductors 30 are bent upward to the right with respect to the common conductor 25 in order that the thick film conductors 28 and the thin film conductors 30 may be displaced regarding to each other by 1/2 of their pitches. Accordingly, as the heating resistors 31 are not positioned right over the thick film conductors 28, there is no influence of defects of the glaze layer 27, i.e. projections and pinholes thereof.
