Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide an efficient heat exchanger operation in a rotary heat pipe type heat exchanger by a method wherein a number of heat pipes are fixed to a partition plate in a cylindrical member constituting a fluid passage.
CONSTITUTION: Fluid of high temperature is flowed in a heat supplying chamber A and fluid of low temperature is flowed in a heat receiving chambr B. In the heat receiving chamber B, the working liquid condensed in a spiral heat pipe 15 is flowed toward on outer end thereof along its inner surface under a centrifugal force in the heat pipe 15 which rotates with a cylindrical partition plate 5. Thus, due to a sufficient length of the heat pipe in the heat supplying chamber A, a heat transmitting area is made large and the condensed liquid completes its evaporation before it is reached to the outer end. That is, a heat transmitting operation is performed in a thin layer of the liqud while the condensed liquid is flowed on the inner surface of the spiral heat pipe 15 toward the outer end, and then the condensed liquid is evaporated.
