Abstract

PURPOSE:To increase effective hot-water storing capacity and to enable to use hot water for room heating, by providing a thermo-valve at the part of a circulating pipe feeding hot water to a hot-water storing tank, on the downstream side of a heat exchanger, and interposing a heat-exchanger coil for room heating between the thermo-valve and heat exchanger. CONSTITUTION:When low temperature is detected by a second temperature detector 14 after feeding of water into a hot-water storing tank 3, a combustor 6 starts combustion and water passed to a heat exchanger 5 through a circulating pipe 4 is heated to a high temperature and carried back to the tank 3 via a header 8, thermo- valve 12 and circulating pipe 7. Here, the thermo-valve 12 changes the area of water flow according to the temperature of water at the outlet of header 8 for controlling the amount of circulated water, so that it is kept constant irrespective of the amount of hot water stored in the tank 3. Further, if the temperature detected by a temperature detector 13 is higher than a prescribed value, hot water can be supplied via a heat-exchanger coil 9 for room heating to use the same for a room heating system 11. Thus, it is enabled to increase the effective hot-water storing capacity and to use hot water for room heating.
