Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve ease of handling and prevent radiation loss in the insulation by enabling free setting of a boiling water in a hot water storage tank by a heat pump heating with a hot water setting device and a circulation flow rate controller. CONSTITUTION:A hot water feeder is composed of a hot water storage tank 1 and a heat pump heater 2 which has a compressor 3, a water heat exchanger 4, a choking mechanism 5, a heat source side heat exchanger 6 and an air blow fan 7. Water at the bottom of a hot water tank 1 is fed to a heat exchanger 4 through a pump 9 and a water channel 10 to heat and circulated to the top of the hot water tank 1. The temperature of the hot water at the outlet of the heat exchanger 4 is detected with a detector 12 to control the flow rate of the pump 9 with a flow rate controller 14 so that the temperature reaches the set value with a setting device 13. The minimum circulation flow rate is set with a pump 9 as a measure to retain the upper limit pressure in the operation of a heat pump cycle even when the set temperature of hot water is above a fixed value.
