Abstract

PURPOSE: To maintain a vacuum container always at a reduced pressure by a method wherein a heat exchanger unit connected to the vacuum container is stored in a hot gas flow passage and a damper in a by-pass flow passage in the hot gas passage is controlled by a liquid temperature in the vacuum container.
CONSTITUTION: Water in the heat exchanger 4 is heat exchanged with hot gas 1, fed to the vacuum container 8 and forms a saturated vapor. Its heat is taken out by the heat exchanger 9 to form the codensed water and then the water is returned back to the heat exchanger 4 and then circulated. In case that a calory of water to be heated by the hot gas 1 is higher than that taken out, a water temperature in the vacuum container 8 is increased. The water temperature is sensed by the temperature sensor 10, the by-pass damper 5 is opened, the hot gas 1 is released from the by-pass chimney line 3 and a water temperature in the vacuum container 8 is controlled to be constant.
