Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve combustion efficiency of a water boiler regardless of the types of fuel, by forming a hollow section at the central portion of a water storing column in the manner that the hollow section extends longitudinally through the inside of the column, and disposing a fluidized combustion furnace at the lower portion of the hollow section.
CONSTITUTION: Fuel from a fuel tank 17 is supplied onto a distributor plate 4 via a fuel supply pipe 9 having therein a screw conveyor 8 or via a gas fuel injection pipe 16, with gas being simultaneously supplied upward from a port 5 at the lower end of a furnace body 3. Fuel starts mixing with the injected gas and begins to be fluidized. In this state, if fuel is ignited at an igniting section 10, combustion is caused uniformly throughout the fluidized bed. Then, combustion gas is passed through the hollow section 2 and a flue 12 and heats water in a water storing column 1. With such an arrangement, it is enabled to combust fuel efficiently regardless of the types of fuel.
