Abstract

PURPOSE:To make accurate axial alignment possible and facilitate insertion and removal by such constitution wherein at least three pieces of elastic members of a bow shape bestriding on the outside circumference of photoconductor support members inserted oppositely in contact therewith in their axial direction and said support members are pressed radially according to the pressing and coupling in the insertion direction. CONSTITUTION:Raised flat faces 61 of elastic pieces 6 are opposed in the inside part 12 of a connector body 10, and both end parts of the bent parts 62 of the pieces 6 are fitted into the recesses 71 of support members 7. The members 7 are press- fitted and fixed into the large diameter part 14 of the connector body. Optical fiber cords 21 of which connection side outside shapes 81 are formed with good accuracy are inserted into cores 3 and are fixed by adhering. When the connection sides 81 of the cores 3 are inserted through the opening parts on both sides of the body 1 and cap nuts 4 are tightened, end faces 33 abut, and the pieces 6 are radially pressed around the outside circumference 31 of the cores 3 in the radius direction, whereby the fibers are axially aligned. Thereby, the accurate axial alignment is accomplished and the insertion and removal are made easy.
