Abstract
PURPOSE:To make work easier and make optical fiber connector of low losses possible by providing the same curvature in both end direction with the central point as a boundary within a pipe. CONSTITUTION:This connector consists in inserting optical fibers OF2 into insertion hole of a pipe structure formed by bending a pipe 1 of an inside diameter slightly larger than the outside diameter of the OF from both sides thereof respectively and butting these, wherein the insertion hole is curved and therefore the fibers are pressed to the same position in the central portion of the insertion hole in said hole by self-elastic force; consequently, the misalignment of the OF2 may be considerably decreased on account of the presence of a gap from the insertion hole 5 and the connection of low losses may be performed without any variance.
