Abstract

PURPOSE:To easily connect single polarization optical fibers by forming the end faces of optical connector plugs inclinedly with respect to their central axes. CONSTITUTION:A single polarization optical fiber 1 is fixed to a circular cylindrical plug 2 an epoxy adhesive or the like so as to align to its central axis and such an end face 3 which intersects orthogonally with the face inclusive of the central axis 4 of the plug 2 and the polarization direction and inclines to the central axis 4 is formed. The end face 7 of an other plug 6 including a single polarization optical fiber 5 is formed in the same manner. Both plugs 2, 6 are inserted from both ends of a cylindrical sleeve 8, and are pushed together in such a manner than the inclined faces 3 and 7 contact. Thereby, the fibers 1, 5 are connected easily.
