Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain an optical fiber connector not requiring processing of high precision, by using a fitting hole and three columns. CONSTITUTION:A columnar plug 3 having an optical fiber 2 disposed in the central axis position is inserted into a sleeve 1 having a fitting hole 4 of a relatively loose precision and three columns 5, and connected. A leaf spring 6 to hold the three columns 5 is provided on the outside of the sleeve 1. Therefore, when the columnar plug 3 is inserted into the sleeve 1, the columns 5 presses the columnar plug 3 with the force of the leaf spring 6, so that the columnar plug 3 is aligned with the columnar plug of the opposite side. By tapering the end of the columnar plug 3, insertion into the sleeve 1 may be easier. Thus, without requiring processing of high precision, an optical fiber connector excelling in controllability may be obtained.
