Abstract

PURPOSE:To achieve the reduction in the number of production and miniaturization and reduce optical transmission losses by cintacting the respective fibers which are respectively secured to the first and second coupliens, within the fine hole of the coupling member. CONSTITUTION:A coupling member 1 of cylindrical shape has the lead-in hole 1a for a fiber 4 and the lead-in hole 1b for a fiber 5 at both ends respectively and a fine through-hole 1c is formed between the holes 1a and 1b. The screw grooves 1d and 1e which respectively engage with the grooves 2a and 3a of the inside surface of couplings 2 and 3 are prvided to the outside circumferential surfaces at both end parts of the member 1. The couplings 2, 3 and the member 1 are coupled by way of the screw grooves and the fibers 4 and 5 are contacted in the fine hole 1c.
