Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent a reference signal, generated when a head comes to a reference position, from being disturbed by a detection signal by inhibiting a mark detection signal, generated when one round run of a tape is detected, while a pulse motor selecting a track is rotating. CONSTITUTION:The phases of the phase driving windings 11a-11d of a pulse motor 11 moving a head in the width direction of a tape are controlled by a motor driving circuit 15 through transistors 16a-16d for phase control, thus exercising rotating angle driving control. A driving command from a motor driving circuit 15 is supplied to an AND circuit 18 via an inverter 17 as a gate controlling signal. A mark detection signal and a reference signal generated when the pulse motor is rotated to move the head to its reference position are ORed 19 to generate an interruption command which interrupts and controls the driving circuit 15, but a detection signal in inhibited when the motor is driven, so that the reference signal will not be disturbed by the detection signal.
