The circuit 1 executes an asymptotic operation by multiplying a reciprocal of the divisor B by a coefficient kO, and correcting so that said product is converged to a constant value. An output of the circuit 1 is multiplied by the divident A by a multiplfier 2, its result is multiplied by a reciprocal 1/kO of the coefficient kO by a multipler 3, and the quotient H is outputted. In this way, an operation of division is processed as multiplication by use of a multiplier without requiring a special hardware, and the hardware constituion is simplified and standardized.
