Abstract

PURPOSE:To diminish vibrations of a series double-acting heat-gas engine while to leading to ease its production by making its operation sequence the same as a conventional 4-cylinders engine and arranging the length of each of regenerators/cooler sections to be euqal. CONSTITUTION:Nos. 1-4 cylinders 1, 2, 3, 4 are disposed in a series along a crank shaft not shown in the drawing and heates 33, 34, 35, 36 and regenerators/ cooler sections 21, 22, 23, 24 are connected so that the operation sequence of the cylinder occurs in the order of Nos. 1, 3, 4, 2. While Nos. 1 and 3 regnerators/ cooler sections 21, 23 and Nos. 2 and 4 regenerators/cooler sections 22, 24 are respectively put in opposite sides for a line of cylinder (a center line l of the crank axle). With the above constitution, low temperature ducts 29, 30, 31, 32 which are connected between a low temperature compression space of each of cylinders 1-4 and each of regenerators/cooler sections 21-24, have the same length.
