Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the performance of an heat-has engine by placing a cooler under a piston and locating a part of a regenerator under the cooler whereby the dead volume of the engine is reduced. CONSTITUTION:A cooler 5 is positioned right under a piston 1, regenerator 4 is formed in L shape wherein its elements are divided into two, one is part 4a standing almost perpendicularly and the other 4b lying almost holizontally, said part 4b is disposed under the cooler 5 and the upper side of said part 4a is located adjacent to the piston 1. With the above constitution, the dead volume of a low temperature portion, which causes as a dead volume a great influence on the performance of a heat-gas engine, can be eliminated, thereby the performance of the engine can be bettered.
