Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide martensite type stainless cast steel having excellent cavitation and erosion resistance obtained by containing C, Si, Mn, Ni, Cr, Nb, Mo in Fe in a specific ratio.
CONSTITUTION: Martensite type stainless cast steel containing, in the wt. basis, 0.1% or less C, 1.0% or less Si, 2.0W9.0% Mn, 0.5W8.0% Ni, 11.0W14.0% Cr, 0.01W0.1% Nb and the remainder of substantial Fe or one further containing 2.0% or less Mo thereto is prepared. Further, a melting method is carried out by a high frequency melting method, a melting method by an electric arc furnace or the like and, moreover, casting is carried out by a sand mold casting, a metal mold casting or the like. After casting, it is different owing to a shape or a size but the cast steel is cooled at a speed not forming crack and, further, annealing is pref. carried out at about 500W700°C.
