Abstract
PURPOSE: To exactly stabilize and strengthen the ground regardless of working conditions and geological conditions by a method in which an expandible tube is inserted into an excavated pit, the tube is expanded to make the ground a high dense, and then a stabilizer is filled into the tube.
CONSTITUTION: A ground-stabilizing device 4 consisting of an expandible tube of an elastic material, the inside of which is provided with a covering protective cylinder of a steel wire, etc., is inserted into an excavated pit. Then, a fluid, e.g., air, etc., is charged under pressure into the device 4 through a primary grouting tube 7 to expand the tube in order to compress and strengthen the adjoining ground. Then, a ground stabilizer is grouted into the tube under a lower pressure through the secondary grouting tube 33, where after the stabilizer is discharged from the lower end of the primary grouting tube 7, the primary grouting tube 7 is closed and then the stabilizer is grouted under a high pressure into between the excavated pit and the ground stabilizing device 4 through the secondary grouting tube 33. Thus, the stabilizer penetrates into the ground and the ground around the excavated pit is strengthened. Then, the device 4 is drawn out, and a water-permeable material, e.g., sand, etc., is charged into the cavity formed.
