Abstract
PURPOSE: To exactly perform a water and air permeation test at site by largely simplifying the work procedure of the test by a method in which a pit is drilled by a boring rod with a rubber packer, and at the drilled position, the pit is blocked by the rubber packer and a predetermined water and air permeation test is performed.
CONSTITUTION: A pit with a given depth is drilled under the ground A to be tested by using a boring rod 1. Then, compressed air or pressurized water is supplied into a pressure fluid path 7 to direct it into a rubber packer 4 through the through hole 8 of an inner tube 3 in such a way as to expand the rubber packer 4 and thereby to closely touch it with the inner wall of bored pit B until the pit B is completely blocked. Then, water or air is sent into the rod 1 in the direction of arrow for performing a water or air permeation test. In this method, the necessity for the use of casing pipe and the combined use of grouting and packing work in the penetration work of casing can be eliminated. Also, no trouble with the blocking of pipe during the penetration work of casing occurs, thus permitting the water and air permeation test to be performed exactly.
