Abstract

PURPOSE: To increase the bearing force of the tip portion of a pile by a method in which bags on side of a place are expanded and solidified so that the clearance between the surface of the pile and the side of a pit is eliminated and the friction force between the pile and its surrounding area is raised, and then a bag at the tip of the pile is expanded and solidified in such a way as to press on slime.
CONSTITUTION: Bags 5 and 4 are provided at the tip and side of a ready-made pile 6. The bags 5 and 4 made of a flexible substance are provided with through pipes 2 and 3. The ready-made pile 6 provided with the bags 4 and 5 is set to a given depth in an excavated pit 1, and a solidifiable fluid 7 is injected through the through pipe 2 into the side bag 4 so that the ready-made pile 6 is solidified with the side wall of the pit 1. Then, the solidifiable fluid 7 is also injected through the through pipe 3 into the bag 5 at the lower end of the pile 6 and solidified, whereupon excavated residual soil and slime 8 are compressed and the bearing force of the pile 6 can therefore be raised.
