Abstract
PURPOSE: To permit the installation of a forcibly insertion type borehold expansion loading tester under the ground without disturbing the ground around the place where the tester is installed by rapidly inserting the tester to a depth underground.
CONSTITUTION: Plural meters 3 are attached to the prepheral wall of the body 1 of a forcibly insertion type borehole expansion tester composed of a hollow cylinder, and signals from each meter 3 are sent out through a code 4 from the upside of the body 1. The tester 10 is installed under the ground by the following method. The tester 10 is inserted into a borehole 7 until it reaches the upper part of the test position underground 6, and then the tester 10 is rapidly inserted further to the test position by a boring rod 5. In this case, since the soil corresponding to the volume of the tester 10 is flowed into the hollow cylinder of the tester 10 during the insertion work, no disturbance occurs in the soil around the tester 10. Also, when the ground is hard and also the pressure required for insertion is high as in the case of sand, a small diametered borehole 9 is preferably drilled in advance.
