Abstract

PURPOSE: To prepare a flame-retardant foam having high open-cell ratio, excellent foam stability, and low shrinkage, by using an organic polyisocyanate, a specific polyamine (alkylene oxide adduct), water, etc.
CONSTITUTION: The objective foam can be prepared by using an organic polyisocyanate, a polyamine of formula (n is integer of ≥1) and/or an alkylene oxide adduct of said polyamine, and water, etc. The organic polyisocyanate is preferably polymethylene polyphenyl isocyanate. The amount of water is 1W10 equivalent per 1 equivalent of the organic isocyanate, and the reaction catalyst is preferably a tetraalkyl-guanidine compound. The polyamine is e.g. ethylenediamine, and its amount is 1W50pts.wt. per 100pts. of the organic polyisocyanate.
