Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a polyether-polyol having improved compatibility and pouring characteristic and capable of providing urethane foams having improved physical properties, by mixing tolylenediamine with ethylene oxide and propylene oxide and then adding propylene oxide.
CONSTITUTION: 1mol of tolylenediamine is mixed with 2.5W4.0mol of ethylene oxide and 0.5W2.0mol of propylene oxide, or the mixture is subjected to an addition reaction at the same time. Then, propylene oxide is added thereto to a hydroxyl value of 300W420(KOH mg/g) to obtain a polyether-polyol. As the above tolylenediamine, there is used 2,4-tolylenediamine or 3,4-tolylenediamine. As the alkylene oxides, there are used ethylene oxide and propylene oxide for the sake of practicality.
