Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a photo recording medium having a high sensitivity by using a recording layer consisting of a thermal amplifying layer having a low melting point and a self-oxidative property, a reflecting layer having a high reflectivity, and a light absorptive layer having a high light absorbability, and as the reflecting layer a harmless and inexpensive metal layer having a high melting point. CONSTITUTION:A photo recording medium consists of a substrate 1 and a recording layer 2 composed of a thermal amplifying layer 3, a reflecting layer 4 and a light absorptive layer 5. The substrate includes a transparent glass or acrylic resin, etc. The thermal amplifying layer 3 is made of a transparent material having a self-oxidative property, e.g., nitro cellulose, etc., and the reflecting layer 4 is made of an inexpensive metal layer having a high light reflectivity, a high heat conductivity, and a high melting point, e.g., aluminum foil, etc. The light absorptive layer 5 is made of a material havng a high light absorbability, e.g., carbon black, dyes (oleosol EL blue), etc.
