Abstract

PURPOSE:To record laser light with high contrast and resolution and low energy on a film by coating a recording material formed by binding a dye for absorbing the laser light to generate heat, another dye for absorbing a light of different wavelength from the laser light, and organic substance evaporated at low temperature on a base film. CONSTITUTION:The base film 6 of laser light recording type is formed of a film of polyester or the like having high transparency and good heat resistance, and a redording material 5 having a dye for sbsorbing the laser light to generate heat, another dye for absorbing the light of different wavelength from the laser light and a binder of organic material evaporated at low temperature such as cellulose resin or the like is coated in thin thickness on the film 6. When laser beam 2 is incident to the material 5, the dyes generate heat to raise the temperature of the material 5 to thereby evaporate the dyes to perforate the material 5 to thus record information. The retained material 5 contains two types of dyes with absorbing capacity of both the dyes. Accordingly, the film recording the information incorporates high contrast over most visible light ranges.
