Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain an optical disk recording carrier having a light weight, a low cost plus a high recording performance, by having a lamination of a resin film cured by ultraviolet rays on a plastic disk substrate. CONSTITUTION:A resin film 2 cured by ultraviolet rays is coated on a plastic substrate (such as a disk of transparent polymethyl methacrylate having a thickness of several millimeters) 1 by a spinner method, a dipping method and the like, and then cured to form the resin film 2 having a thickness of about 1-3mum. Then the metal such as Al, Cr, Te or the like is vapor-deposited on the film 2 to obtain a recording medium layer 3 of 0.05-0.2mum. Thus a recording carrier into which the information is written is produced by a heating method using the laser beam. Otherwise the 2nd resin film 4 having appropriate flexibility can be formed on a recording medium layer 6.
