Abstract
PURPOSE:To facilitate writing and reading of a reflecting mode, by using a layer comprising an organic compound having a low thermal decomposition temperature or easily scattering when heated as a lower layer and a carbon vapor deposition layer as an upper layer. CONSTITUTION:A layer of an organic compound such as nitrocellulose or gelatin is formed with a film thickness of about 1mu on a substrate such as an acryl plate, and carbon vapor is deposited in a thickness of about 300Angstrom on said layer. If necessary, a light absorptive compound such as a dyestuff, e.g., azo or anthraquinone dystuff, a pigment is dispersed in an organic compound. By using a layer consisting of an organic compound having a low thermal decomposition temperature or easily scattering when heated as a lower layer, the dispersion of carbon into an organic binder is inhibited and writing sensitivity is improved. Furthermore, the carbon vapor deposition layer effectively reflect laser beams.
