Abstract
PURPOSE:To enhance light resistance, durability and resistance to moisture and heat, by providing a thin film constituted mainly of two or more organic coloring matters having a reflectance of at least 10% on a substrate to produce an optical recording medium. CONSTITUTION:A thin film constituted mainly of two or more organic coloring matters having a reflectance of at least 10% is provided on a substrate to produce an optical recording medium. It is preferable that at least one of the organic coloring matters is a polymethine coloring matter (A), and it is more preferable that at least one of the organic coloring matters is a polymethine coloring matter while at least one of the others is a phthalocyanine coloring matter (B). It is preferable that the absorption peak wavelength lambda maxA (nm) of the coloring matter A and the absorption peak wavelength lambda maxB (nm) of the coloring matter B satisfy the relstionship, -80<=lambdamaxB-lambdamaxA<=300.
