Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent a large current deflected to a single side due to the nonadjustment, the misadjustment, etc. of a convergence circuit and to protect the convergence circuit, by providing a current detecting circuit at the positive and negative sides respectively. CONSTITUTION:The positive and negative power supplies +VCC and -VCC are applied to the positive and negative current detecting circuits 20 and 21 respectively. The circuits 20 and 21 detect that the currents supplied from the sources +VCC and -VCC are amplified up to the level higher than the prescribed value. Thus the circuits 20 and 21 supply the detection signals to a convergence control circuit 19 to lose the balance between the sources +VCC and -VCC which are applied to a convergence output amplifying circuit 1. Thus the current larger than the prescribed value is decreased, and the other current is increased. Then a large current deflected to a single side can be prevented to protect the circuit 1 and the sources +VCC and -VCC from the breakdown.
