  • Continuous-Control Power Sources That Use Transistors (AREA)

Abstract

PURPOSE: To suppress the influence of variation in power as much as possible by providing a current detection resistance at an output side in parallel to a load and by controlling a regulation transistor according to a difference between output voltage between two voltage divider connected to both terminals of the resistance.
CONSTITUTION: To the output side of current regulation transistor Q, current detection resistance RS is provided in parallel to load RL and to both the terminals of this current detection resistance RS, two voltage divider R1 to R4 are connected in series to input voltage sources e1 and e2. Then, current regulation transistor Q is controlled by detecting a difference in output voltage between those two voltage dividers by differential amplifier A. Since the current detection resistance is provided to the emitter side of transitsor Q in this way, an error caused by a base current will never occur and a transistor of high hFE is unneeded, so that its economy will improve.
