Abstract
PURPOSE:To permit free selection of the position of a metering device and to eliminate the need for protection against hot wind in a fluidized bed roasting device for powder and granules by connecting the metering device for the powder and granules and the roasting devices by means of a pneumatic conveyor. CONSTITUTION:Hot wind is blown through a hot wind supply duct 9 into the hot wind supply ports 13 of two units of roasting vessels 2, 2, and the powder and granules to be roasted are supplied alternately to the vessels 2 by a selection valve 17, whereby they are roasted. In this case, a metering device 13 is installed in the lower part of a storage tank 5 for raw materials powder and granules 14, and the powder and granules 14 metered to a constant weight are supplied by the compressed air A by a blower 16 to the valve 17 through a pneumatic conveyor 15. Since the supply of the powder and granules is transported pneumatically without using gravity, there is no need for placing the position of the tank 5 provided with the metering device right above the vessels 2 and the height of the entire part of the device can be made low. Since there is no influence of the high temp. waste gas from the vessels 2, the need for heat resistant installations for the metering device is eliminated.
