Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable to seal the internal pressure of a furnace in a reliable manner, by selecting the sand height of a chute section to be greater than that of a fluidized bed section, and recirculating a part of air to an exhaust gas system from a downstream portion of the outlet of the chute. CONSTITUTION:A chute 22 for dropping foreign matter by its own gravity is connected to an outlet 21 for discharging foreign matter that is located at the lowermost end of an inclined distributor plate 8 disposed at the bottom of an incinerator 6. Further, a screw conveyor 23 is connected to the lwoer end of the chute 22. Fluidizing air supplied from a blower 7 serves to fluidize a medium to be fluidized such as sand and to form a swirling layer. In the above arrangement, the sand height H of the chute 22 is selected to be greater than that h of the fluidized bed and a part of air is recirculated to a free board 33 in the furnace or to an exhaust-gas duct 11 via pressure equalizing pipes 32, 42.
