Abstract
PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for a pump and a cooler for cooling it, and to reduce the size of constitution by forming a hole, where an optical fiber runs, at the radiation part of a heat pipe, and sealing and fixing the incidence end part of the optical fiber in the heat pipe. CONSTITUTION:In a heat pipe wherein a working fluid 1, such as water and ''Flon '', is sealed, the incidence end part of an optical fiber 3 is sealed while running through a hole 5 made in the flank of the radiation part 4 of the heat pipe 2, and positioned and fixed in the center of the heat pipe 2 by plural supporting rods 6 fitted in the heat pipe 2. The external circumference of the incidence end part of the optical fiber 3 in this heat pipe 2 is covered with a wick 7 made of a mesh material or fibrous material where the working fluid 1 moves by capilarity.
