Abstract
PURPOSE:To increase transmission of heat through unit area of a heat transfer surface of a heat exchanger, by coupling a plurality dish-shaped fins with an inclined peripheral wall with their directions being reversed alternately, and coupling connecting flanges hermetically into the form of bellows. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of dish-shaped fin elements 5 are coupled together with their directions being reversed alternately and then their inner and outer flange portions 9, 10 are coupled together, whereby fins 6 in the form of bellows are formed. In an assebmly thus produced, a work fluid passage 7 is formed on the inside while outer projection function as fins. Since, in the above arrangement, internal fluid 7 is brought into direct contact with external fluid only through the tube wall, thermal resistance can be reduced and transmission of heat between the internal fluid and external cooling medium can be promoted. Further, since the flow of work fluid is disturbed by the presence of inner flanges 10, stagnation of fluid flow is eliminated and heat transmission is promoted. Thus, it is enabled to increase transmmission of heat through unit area of the heat transfer surface.
