Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for a private synchronous starting bus by jointly using a normal main circuit even synchronous starting. CONSTITUTION:When No.1 machine is started through the starting of a thyristor, the disconnecting switch 7 of No.1 machine is turned ON while the phase changeover disconnecting switch 3 of No.1 machine is turned to the pumping-up P side, and a disconnecting switch 5 is also turned ON. Disconnecting switches 8-1, 12, 19 and breakers 9, 13, 18 are turned ON, frequency supplied to No.1 machine is increased slowly by using an inverter and a converter, and a breaker 4G is turned ON while being synchronized with the system side. When No.2 machine is started synchronously by No.1 machine, the breakers 4G of No.1 machine and No.2 machine are turned ON while the phase changeover disconnecting switch 3 of No.1 machine is turned to the pumping-up P side and the phase changeover disconnecting switch 3 of No.2 machine to the generation G side. A breaker 4L is turned ON while being syncornized with the system side, and the breaker 4G of No.2 machine is opened. Accordingly, disconnecting switches 7 for synchronous starting are unnecessiated.
