Abstract

PURPOSE:To enlarge a temperature compensation range including no error by a circuit wherein a magnetoelectric transducer is serially connected to a resistor, and voltage increasing nonlinearly with respect to temperature is applied to the magnetoelectric transducer. CONSTITUTION:A resistance-temperature characteristics of a magnetoelectric transducer such as a magnetoresistive element is not completely linear with respect to temperature, but it increases nonlinearly therewith. Thus, it is required to apply such voltage which has a temperature characteristic increasing following the similar curved line. In view of the above, a parallel circuit comprising a transistor 2 and a resistor 3 and a fixed resistor 5 are serially connected to a magnetoelectric transducer 1, and thus formed circuit is connected to a power supply source. The fixed resistor 5 is selected to have a sufficiently small temperature coefficient relative to a temperature coefficient of the magnetoelectric transducer. By so doing, a temperature compensation range including no error is greatly enlarged and this leads to a wide use in various sensors.
