Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the discharge linearity by using natural iron pyrite containing iron disulfide as a principal component for an anode active material of an organic solvent cell. CONSTITUTION:An anode 1, a separator 3 impregnated with an organic electrolyte, and a cathode 2 using a light metal such as a metal lithium disk as an active material are stored in a cell case 4. A cathode sealing plate 5 inserted with a gasket 6 seals them, forming an organic solvent cell. Natural iron pyrite powders containing iron disulfide (FeS2) as a principal component are used for an active material of the anode 1. Graphite powders as a conductive agent and polytetrafluoroethylene powders as a binding agent are added to natural iron pyrite powders (purity 94%), and they are mixed and molded to form the anode 1.
