Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable cleaning by burning in an empty condition, by providing a device of buring in the empty condition, which interrupts releasing action of wick holding resulting from lack of oxygen and maintains the wick holding, in the captioned wick type combuster cum safety function for lack of oxygen. CONSTITUTION:A flame which comes out of a chimney 1 after a wick has been ignited, oxygen density and adhered tar on the wick are detected by a sensor 2. While normal combustion is being detected by the sensor 2, an electric potential at a point C is higher than that at a point D, an output of a deflection amplifier 11 becomes high, a transistor 7 is elecgrified, and a knob is fixed by an electromagnet 4 for continuation of the combustion. When resistance of the sensor 2 is increased due to lack of oxygen, the electromagnet 4 does not become active, then the wick is lowered and the fire is extinguished. Then, irrespective of detection of the lack of oxygen by the sensor 2 this device can be maintained in a condition wherein the electromagnet 4 is made to actuate and the wick is lifted, as the transistor 7 can be maintained at an electrified condition always due to a function that a switch 16 is closed at the time of burning in an empty condition. Then, the burnig in the empty condition is possible.
