Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevnte incomplete combustion of a liquid fuel combusting apparatus due to dust or the like, by disposing a flame monitoring means at an upper portion of a burner, and stopping supply of air-fuel mixture to the burner in response to the output of said flame monitoring means.
CONSTITUTION: A flame rod 14 serving as a flame monitoring means is disposed at upper portion of a burner 11. In case that the combustion rate of the apparatus becomes lower than a lower limit and the flame length becomes excessively short since a required amount of air can be supplied to the apparatus because of accumulation of dust in a filter in the air supply system, it is detected by the flame rod 14 and supply of air-fuel mixture to burner 11 is stopped for extinguishing flame completely. With such an arrangement, it is enabled to prevent incomplete combustion due to accumulation of dust or the like.
