Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain said steel sheet which has excellent pressing workability and corrosion proofness after painting and is free from frosting spots or flowing patterns, by specifying a composition, pH and a flow velocity of plating liquid and a current density when plating in an aqueous solution containing iron and zinc ion.
CONSTITUTION: The plating liquid which contans total amount fo metal salts; 100W600g/l, concentration of iorn salt; 55W70wt%, polyvalent carboxylic acid; 5W50g/l, sodium acetate; 10W100g/l is used. Plating is performed under condition of pH; 0.9W1.3, flow velocity; 0.8W4.0m/sec, current density; 30W60A/cm2 and the plated film of iron-zinc alloy containing 3W30wt% of iron is formed on the surface of a steel sheet. In this case a burnt deposite of plating is caused by a shortage of total metal salts and metal salts are precipitated by an excess. When concentration of iron salt, pH, flow velocity, current density are out of said ranges, iron in the film deviates from sat range. Further, plating of beautiful appearance is obtained by keeping said ranges of flow velocity and current density, removing Fe3+ wit carboxylic aicd and suppressing a rise of pH at the interface of a cathod with sodium acetate.
