Abstract

CONSTITUTION: A two or three elements alloy consisting essentially of Zn and contg. 1W2 kinds among Ni, Co, Fe, Sn, Cu, Mn, etc. is electroplated on the surface of a steel sheet, whereby its corrosion resistance is considerably improved. In this case, not only Zn but also Ni, Co, Cu, Mn, etc. are soluble in the plating soln. in the form of metal, metallic oxide, and carbonate and therefore metallic ions are replenished in the form of aqueous soln. of these, and Fe and Sn which are difficult to dissolve in said form are immersed as soluble anode into the plating solution to supply the metallic ions, whereby these are supplied at the amount corresponding to the consumption of metallic ions and the alloy plating layer having a fixed ratio is always formed.
