Abstract

PURPOSE:To detect a reception frequency without aid of eyes, by constituting a receiver without a display part such as a dial, through the provision of an informing means of voice for the reception frequency. CONSTITUTION:Radio electromagnetic waves are received at a reception circuit 1, the waves are detected at a detecting circuit 2 and after they are amplified at an amplifier circuit 3 via a muting circuit 8, they are inputted to a speaker 4. The electromagnetic waves received at the circuit 1 are inputted to a reception frequency and electromagnetic wave strength measuring circuit 7, the output of the circuit 7 is inputted to a control circuit 5 and a status signal of the switches 14-17 is inputted to the circuit 5. When a voice informing switch 18 is turned on, the reception frequency signal set to the circuit 5 is given to a voice synthesizer 12, where the signal is synthesized with the voice in a voice memory 13 and inputted to the amplifier 3. When a voice representing the reception frequency is informed from the speaker 4, the broadcast voice is dropped to a suitable volume at the circuit 8 with an output of the circuit 5 to inform the reception frequency without aid of eyes.
