Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent a malfunction which is caused by radio waves of other zone using the same frequency, by reducing the sensitivity of a receiver when waiting for a selective calling signal, and returning the sensitivity of the receiver when a call signal of its own station has been detected. CONSTITUTION:When a receiver is in a waiting state, high-frequency attenuator switching circuits 81, 82 are in on-state, and it is connected with an antenna 1, the switching circuit 81, a high-frequency attenuator 7, the switching circuit 82 and a radio wave receiver 2, an input level is lowered, and only strong radio waves of a specific zone are received. When a call signal of the own station is detected in a selective calling signal detecting circuit 3 from a demodulation output, a demodulation output changeover switch 4 is turned on, simultaneously the high frequency attenuator switching circuits 81, 82 are turned off, connection of the antenna 1, the switching circuit 81, the switching circuit 82 and the radio wave receiving circuit 2 is formed, the sensitivity of the receiving circuit 2 is made maximum, and the demodulation output passes through the switch 4, is amplified by a low-frequency amplifying circuit 5, and after that, it is outputted from a loudspeaker 7.
